Report summary
The smelter is located in Indonesia and has a capacity of 1160 kt/a of concentrate. The smelting technology is based in the Mitsubishi process and the slag produced is sold to Gresik Cement and other local cement manufacturers. The smelter is required to meet Indonesian environmental regulations, which limit SO2 stack emissions to 280 ppm. This is achieved without acid plant tailgas scrubbing.The sulphur capture levels are in the order of 97.5%
