Operated by Sumitomo Metal Mining (SMM), the Harima plant is located in Hyōgo prefecture, Japan. The plant produces nickel sulphate from mixed sulphide precipitate (MSP) feedstock from integrated mines owned by SMM via subsidiaries. In 2021, the plant had a nickel sulphate capacity of 10.7kt (in contained Ni) in 2021 and produced 11.8kt (in contained Ni) in the same year.
