Heding copper smelter
Report summary
Heding copper smelter started its construction in December 2010 and was commissioned in 2013. Upon commissioning, it had a nameplate capacity of 135 kt/a, including 100 kt/a Cu from concentrate and 35 kt/a from purchased blisters. The smelter was ramping up well and its production exceeded the nameplate in 2016. Heding's Phase II expansion was completed in H2 2018 with the capacity expanded to 350 kt/a.
