This profile relates to Bass Metals' Hellyer Mine Project (HMP), a restart of the Hellyer Zn-Pb mine that closed in 2000. The HMP sources ore from the Fossey deposit for processing at the Hellyer mill. The planned mill rate of 400kt/a was reduced to 350kt/a in an updated mine plan in 2011, subsequent to the discovery of widespread low grade barite altered ore across the Fossey deposit. The mine and mill was placed on care-and-maintenance in mid-2012.
