Island gold mine
Report summary
The property comprises 219 patented mining claims across 7,772ha situated in Finan and Jacobson Townships. The Island gold mine is an underground mining operation with ore processing in an 1,100t/d carbon in pulp (CIP) mill. Commercial production commenced in 2007. Annual gold production ramped-up to 150koz in 2019 through the Phase II mill expansion to 1.2kt/d. In 2020, Alamos released details of the Phase III expansion study which would encompass an increase in throughput to 2,000t/d and extend the mine life to 2035. In 2022, the study was expanded to increase throughput to 2,400t/d by 2026 and extended mine life to 2039.
