Kalia iron ore mine
Report summary
Kalia is a mid-size greenfield project in the Faranah region of Guinea. Bellzone, the project's owner, was investigating developing the mine to supply to a modular nickel pig iron production facility on site. However, Bellzone has been liquidated and the rights to the mine remain in question. There is much uncertainty as to how the project will be developed, if at all, but for the purposes of this analysis we have modelled it as supplying iron ore fines to the seaborne market.
