Kipoi is an operating open pit copper mine in Katanga province of Democratic Republic of Congo that produces SxEw copper cathode. The operation produced oxide copper concentrates between 2011 and 2014. The mine is operated by SEK (Société d'Exploitation de Kipoi SA), a 95% owned subsidiary of Tiger Resources. The accompanying analysis considers the Stage 1 HMS development, which produced over 100kt copper over 39 months, and the Stage 2 SxEw development, with initial capacity 25kt/a copper followed by a de-bottlenecking program which increased capacity to 32.5kt/a.
