Report summary
La Zarza is a copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead project located in the Iberian Pyrite Belt of Huelva Province, Spain. A prefeasibility study was completed in September 2006 and a further feasibility study completed in February 2008. Antofagasta elected not to take up a 51% option on the mine in 2012 as it deemed the deposit to be subeconomic. Since 2014, Tharsis Mining has been conducting work on the project. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
