Lalor zinc mine
Report summary
Lalor is an underground Zn-Cu mine in Canada, approximately 18km by road west of the town of Snow Lake, Manitoba. The two mining methods are predominantly used at Lalor; post pillar cut and fill mining and longhole open stope mining. It produces a copper concentrate and a zinc concentrate, both with gold and silver by-products. Lalor began ore production from the ventilation shaft in August 2012 and attained commercial production from the main shaft in the third quarter of 2014.
