Report summary

A seismic event in October 2013 halted production at Leinster's Perseverance underground mine and ultimately forced its closure. In order to fill the supply gap left by the mine's closure BHP Billition restarted production at the Rocky's Reward open pit operation in early 2014.Our understanding is that Rocky's can provide ore for around 4 years along with the other mines presently supplying ore and Cliffs having a mine life through to 2016. In February 2016 BHP Billiton reopened the Leinster 1A deposit which was last mined in 2010 and is now accessed from the Perseverance mine decline.
