The El Limón Complex consists of five contiguous mineral concessions covering an area of 20,147 hectares. The 12,000-hectare El Limόn exploitation concession consists of underground and open pit mines. Open pit mining incorporates conventional mining methods and a combination of top-down and bottom-up sequenced longitudinal open stoping for underground mining. The underground mines are all accessed via a ramp. The plant has a capacity of 500kt/a and comprises a carbon-in-pulp (CIP) circuit.
