Los Filos gold mine
Report summary
Los Filos is a skarn-type deposit mined as two open pits and underground mine. Leach grade ore is processed by crushing, agglomeration and heap leaching. Low-grade ore is processed as uncrush or run-of-mine (ROM) heap leaching. Medium to high-grade ore is sent to a 6.6Mt/a crushing system then agglomeration first before being placed on the leach pad. The collected pregnant leach solution is treated in a carbon adsorption-desorption-recovery plant where gold is adsorbed onto carbon in a carbon-in-column circuit to produce a final silver and gold doré.
