Lubambe (Konkola North) copper mine
Report summary
The Lubambe copper mine is an underground mining operation situated close to Chililabombwe Village. The operation is 80% owned by EMR Capital and 20% owned by ZCCM Investment Holdings Limited. Production started in October 2012. Acquired by EMR Capital in 2017, the operation is ramping up and exploring further options for mine life extension and capacity expansion. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
