Lucky Friday zinc mine
Report summary
Lucky Friday is a polymetallic underground mine located in the Coeur D'Alene region of Idaho that has been in operation since 1941. From March 2017 unionised employees were on strike and only limited production occurred using salaried employees. The strike ended in January 2020 and full production was reached in Q4 of the same year. There is at least 17 years of mine life left based on reserves. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
