Mantos Blancos copper minesite

Report summary

The mining operation extracts a sulphide-rich ore which feeds a flotation line, an oxide rich ore which feeds a vat leach section, and marginal material which is placed on dump leach pads. Copper feed to the SxEw plant is primarily from the vat leaching of crushed oxide ore. Sulphide ore flotation tailings can also be leached, as soluble copper typically comprises around 20% of mill head grade.  Plant capacity is further utilised by purchasing PLS from the Doña Ada mine.
