Marimaca copper mine project
Report summary
Marimaca copper project is located 45km north of Antofagasta, Chile. Fully owned by Marimaca Copper Corp, a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) was released in September 2020. Conventional open pit mining method is proposed to extract ore feed to crush heap leach and ROM leach plant. Phase 1 plant will have capacity of 5.4Mt/a and Phase 2 expansion proposed will have capacity of 9Mt/a. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
