Report summary
The first major gold discovery was on the Murchison Goldfield at Nannine, 30 km south of Meekatharra in 1890. The discovery of gold at Paddy's Flat occurred 5 years later. Whim Creek Consolidated NL entered into the Murchison region in 1980 when treatment of the Haveluck ore made the company a leader in treatment of low grade open pitable gold resources.
