Operated by CBL, Mina da Cachoeira is a lithium mineral operation located in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Mina da Cachoeira is an underground mine. Operations first began in 1990 with spodumene concentrate production capacity later expanded from 20ktpy to 30ktpy in 2016. The operation produces chemical grade spodumene concentrates with a minimum grade of 5.0% Li2O and a typical grade of 5.3% Li2O. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
