Latin America holds over half the global reserves of copper and lithium, and with robust demand for these key energy transition enablers, mining of these metals could provide the countries of Latin America with a source of growth and development. But the region is fought with social and political challenges which often dull the attractiveness for foreign investment. However, each country’s challenges and opportunities are different.
