Naoshima copper refinery
Report summary
The refinery is located on Naoshima Island, Kagawa Prefecture in the Seto Inland Sea. Sea links via the company's own wharf for 20kt vessels are excellent. Mitsubishi commenced copper smelting operations at Naoshima in 1918. However, the refinery, with an initial capacity of 90kt/a, was not commissioned until 1969.
