National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco), which was incorporated in 1981, is an Indian government controlled integrated aluminium producer operating a bauxite mine, an alumina refinery, an aluminium smelter, a captive power plant and downstream facilities, all located in Orissa, India. In addition, Nalco is part of two joint ventures for the production of caustic soda and coal tar pitch, two key inputs for the production of alumina and aluminium.
