The nickel industry in Indonesia is developing at an unprecedented pace. We estimate year-on-year NPI production growth was 44% in 2018. Meanwhile, at least four hydrometallurgical projects were announced within the last quarter of 2018. Just six months since our last visit, we conducted another research trip, this time visiting Tsingshan's Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). Here are the five main takeaways.
