Operated by Proyecto Pastos Grandes S.A, Pastos Grandes is a lithium brine project located in Salta, Argentina. The project is currently at feasibility study stage. The Salar de Pastos Grandes is a sulphate-chloride type salt lake wherein historic borate and salt extraction has taken place. Stage 1 capacity of 5ktpy of technical grade lithium carbonate and Stage 2 capacity of 24ktpy of battery grade lithium carbonate production will be achieved via solvent extraction. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
