Operated by a subsidiary of Allkem Ltd, Sal de Vida is a lithium brine project located in Catamarca, Argentina. Initially developed by Lithium One Inc prior to its acquisition in 2012 by Galaxy Resources Ltd, the Sal de Vida project is one of several lithium brine assets located in the Salar del Hombre Muerto in Argentina. The project is currently owned by Allkem Ltd, following the merger of Galaxy Resources and Orocobre in August 2021, and is at the construction stage. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
