Report summary

Peñasquito is an open pit mine operation with a 25kt/d heap leach facility and a conventional sulphide plant with a design capacity of 124kt/d of sulphide ore. Milled production is expected to ramp back up from 35.2kt/a in 2016 to a throughput rate of 45.1Mt/a in 2019. The dore produced in the oxide circuit is tolled in Met Mex Torreon and the concentrates are transported to smelters in Mexico North America Asia and Europe. The Met Mex smelter is located 400km away and the Manzanillo port used for concentrate exports is located 800km away from the mine.
