Tata Steel's Port Talbot is located in South Wales and produces hot-rolled, cold-rolled and metallic-coated strips. Tata Steel has unveiled a strategic plan to discontinue operations of both blast furnaces at Port Talbot in 2024. In place of the existing infrastructure, the company aims to integrate a new 3 Mtpa EAF capacity, with plans for commissioning in 2027.
