Report summary

The Ceria Matte plant is planned to be constructed in two phases, with Phase 1 establishing one sulphidization conversion system to process FeNi produced by two RKEF lines, and Phase 2 constructing another sulphidization conversion system to handle the other two RKEF lines. Each phase will be designed to process 126.4 kt/a FeNi (half of 252.7 kt/a) containing 22% Ni and produce 36 kt/a high nickel matte (containing 73.69% Ni). Considering the scale of the nickel matte plant and the feasibility of process, converter process is proposed to be adopted for sulphidization and converting. The company estimates that the construction will complete in 2025 for Phase 1 and 2027 for Phase 2.
