Puerto Madryn aluminium smelter

Puerto Madryn is Argentina's sole aluminium smelter. The first two lines were commissioned in 1975, while lines three and four were commissioned in 1999 and 2007. A modification to line 4 in 2010/2011 brought total smelter design capacity to about 460 ktpa, making it one of Latin America's largest primary aluminium producers.
