Quebrada Blanca is a copper mining operation 240km southeast of Iquique and 10km west of the Collahuasi mine in the Tarapaca Region of northern Chile. The property is at an altitude of between 4,090m and 4,400m. Current operations mine the upper supergene mineralisation of the Doña Inés orebody to produce copper cathode using leach and SxEw processes. Quebrada Blanca Phase 2 is a development project based on the underlying hypogene resource at the current mine.
