Report summary
Qulong copper mine project is an open pit copper mine project located in Mozhugongka, Tibet, China. The deposit is a large-scale porphyry deposit with molybdenum and silver associated. The project has a designed throughput capacity of 45 Mtpa. Construction of the project started in 2014 and production was commenced in 2021. In June 2020, Zijin Mining acquired 50.1% of Julong Copper and reduced the uncertainty related to financing issues. Construction was completed by end of 2021.
