Ronnskar copper smelter

Report summary

The Ronnskar copper smelter was commissioned in 1930 to treat concentrates from the company's own mines.  A lead smelter was constructed on the same site in 1943. Currently the primary lead smelting is undertaken in a TBRC that is also used in campaigns for burning and melting plastic insulated copper scrap.  An allowance for the use of the TBRC is included in the copper analysis given here.  Similarly, the slag fuming furnace is operated primarily for the recovery of zinc, ~10% of which...
