Rosia Montana will be mined as conventional open-pit operations. The mine has a projected life of 16 years. The plant will have a design capacity of 13.4Mt/a. Due to political instability and failure of legislative initiatives in 2013, the accompanying analysis is for illustrative purposes only, and Wood Mackenzie assumes production will not begin before 2028.
