Asset Report
San Cristobal zinc mine
Report summary
San Cristobal operates (2021) an open pit mine and a 52-53kt/d concentrator producing clean zinc and lead concentrates, both with silver content. The concentrates are shipped through the Mejillones port in Chile. One of the major challenges to increase or even maintain the milling capacity in San Cristobal is the hardness of the ore particularly the ore from the Jayula pit where the hardness reaches 70-90 mega Pascal vs 50 mega Pascal in the past.
