San Martin Restart zinc mine project

Report summary

The San Martin mining complex includes an underground mine and a 4.4kt/d ore flotation plant that produces lead, copper and zinc concentrates with significant amounts of silver. There has been some progress made to resolve the decade long labour issue, since strike started at the mine in 2007. Wood Mackenzie believes the operation could restart by H2 2019. The restart date remains speculative. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
