Report summary
This report is on the restart of the Escobal mine which is currently under care and maintenance. The mine plan continues to exploit an intermediate-sulfidation epithermal quartz vein deposit through longhole stoping methods. As of 5 July 2017, the mining licence was temporarily suspended and the mine placed into care and maintenance. Since September 2018 a detailed three-stage consultation process began to reinstate the mining licence.
