San Martin was on strike since July 2007 and has re-started its mine operations (commissioning) in April 2019. In 2020 the milled production was 1.36Mt of ore reaching almost full capacity of the mill (4kt/d ore). For 2021 the plan was to mill 1.37Mt and future years the plan was to get full capacity at 1.54Mt ore. This was expected to be possible because they have started to operate the San Martin shaft. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
