Report summarySan Vicente is a Ag-Zn-Cu mine is situated at high altitude - 4,400m a.s.l. - in eastern Bolivia. The mine and the 400tpd Ventillas mill opened in 1972, continuing until 1993, when production was suspended pending privatisation. Pan American optioned the project from COMIBOL in 1999, then in 2001, Pan American and COMIBOL entered into a 2-year toll milling agreement with EMUSA, processing up to 250tpd ore at EMUSA's nearby mill.
The mine and mill were upgraded to a nominal 750tpd in 2009 at a cost of US$65 million. Proven and Probable reserves are sufficient to maintain production until 2025 at the current mill rate of approximately 330kt/a.
