San Vicente zinc mine
Report summary
San Vicente comprises a vein type and disseminated Ag-Zn-Cu polymetallic deposit. The underground mine production is mostly from long hole stoping, and conventional and semi-mechanized shrinkage stoping. A 350ktpa polymetallic process plant produces silver-lead and zinc-silver concentrate. The property is located in the province of Sub Chichas, Potosi department, at an average altitude of 4400 metres above sea level. It is 120 km away from the town of Uyani and 660 km from the Bolivian capital La Paz. The property comprises eleven contiguous mining concessions that cover a total surface area of 7,021ha. COMIBOL is the holder of title to all the concessions.
