Report summary
The refinery is located at Sauget, East St. Louis, Illinois, and has good road, rail and barge links. The 45kt/a cathode refinery treats anodes from its own anode casting plant. The feed material for the reverberatory furnace based casting plant is No.2 scrap. There is also a 55kt/a fire refinery on site together with a continuous cast billet plant, extrusion and tube drawing facilities.
