Savannah - Restart nickel operation
Report summary
After placing the mine on care and maintenance in May 2016 in response to low nickel prices, Panoramic Resources continued to carry out refurbishment and maintenance work at the Savannah mine site. In May 2018 the company employed mining contractor MACA to accelerate these tasks over the remainder of the year. The majority of ore will be sourced from Savannah North, which is estimated to contain 5.97Mt at 1.49% Ni (88,900t contained Ni).
