The Sconi Project is located in North Queensland, approximately 10km from the township of Greenvale. The project consists of a number of nickel-cobalt and scandium lateritic deposits. The three main deposits in the southern area of Sconi are Greenvale, Lucknow and Kokomo. Australian Mines released a bankable feasibility study (BFS) in November 2018 which estimated capital costs at US$974 million. In its FY2024 annual report, the company stated that current funds will not suffice for expenditure required to develop the Sconi project, including works needed to commence production. The company expected to raise additional funds for working capital to finance projected capital expenditure at Sconi, potentially through debt and/or equity raising.
