The Selwyn Pb-Zn deposit is one of the largest undeveloped Zn-Pb deposit in the world. In June 2013, Selwyn Resources sold its 50% interest in the project for $50M in cash to Chihong Zinc and Germanium. The project was initially expected to produce 3.5kt/d of ore, but in 2014 it was decided that the mining method would change from underground to open pit and provide ore throughout of 35kt/d of ore. The project is located in eastern Yukon and straddles the Northwest Territories border in Canada. The Howard’s Pass access road exists as a winter road but upgrading is needed for all season usage. It is currently adequate for development and exploration operations.
