Shagang (BOF) steel plant
Report summary
Shagang (BOF) plant is located in Zhangjiagang city, in eastern China's Jiangsu province. The plant is an integrated steel plant with an ironmaking capacity of 14.8 Mtpa. The BOF plant has a crude steel capacity of 16 Mtpa. There is an additional 6 Mtpa of EAF crude steel capacity onsite (refer to Shagang (EAF) profile), making the Shagang plant the largest steel plant in Shagang Group. The plant is China's largest steel exporter, with an export volume of 200,000 to 300,000 tonnes of steel products per month.
