Report summary
Clean TeQ, who was renamed as Sunrise Energy Metals Limited in 2021, has the plan to develop the Sunrise Nickel Cobalt Scandium Project in central NSW. The company has released an Project Execution Plan (PEP) in 2020 and is undertaking pre-construction works. According to Clean TeQ the PEP has assessed the economics of a large scale project producing battery grade nickel and cobalt sulphates with a view to supply the lithium ion battery industry. The company also expects to produce scandium-containing materials as a by-product. The company plans to use its own Clean-iX (ion-exchange extraction and purification processing) technology at the site.
