T3 Project copper mine
Report summary
Motheo copper project comprises a series of sediment hosted copper-silver deposits in the Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana, wholly owned by Sandfire Resources. It is located approximately 80km north-east of Ghanzi, in the western side of Botswana. Updated Definitive feasibility study released in August 2022 proposed an expansion of Motheo Copper Mine from 3.2Mt/a to 5.2Mt/a through the inclusion of the A4 Deposit and an expanded processing plant. The current mine life is estimated to be 10 years and peak production of 55ktpa copper-in-concentrate. Current focus is the progression of the ongoing development.
