Tara zinc mine
Report summary
The operation is comprised of an underground mine and an AG mill with a production capacity of approximately 2.6Mt/a of ore. The mine has been through a period of change as a 30-year old mine was “rebuilt” with the focus moving away from the main orebody and into the SWEX area. In 2016, Boliden announced the discovery of the Tara Deeps deposit which by 2021 accounted for 28Mt of inferred resources.
