Asset Report
Tasiast gold mine
Report summary
Tasiast is a conventional open pit mining operation where lower grade ore is treated via dump leaching whilst higher grade ore is processed via three-stage crush, ball milling and agitated leaching followed by carbon-in-leach. The final product is gold doré produced on site and in 2022, the mine produced 539koz of gold. A phased approach to expansion is planned, expanding the mill capacity from 8 to 12kt/d (Phase 1) commissioned in Q3 2018. The Phase 2 plan was later replaced with the 24Kt/d project at Tasiast, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
