Since the end of May to mid-July, Wood Mackenzie had the chance of visiting several downstream manufacturers in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, and Chongqing. In this insight, we are covering the three key themes and issues from our field trips: the impact of the high copper price for semis manufacturers over the past few months; an update on the situation in the copper downstream sector since the new scrap policy came into place in November 2020; and the impact of SRB copper stock releases.
