Operated by Liex S.A, Tres Quebradas is a lithium brine project located in Catamarca, Argentina. Tres Quebradas is a relatively high-grade project whose discovery was announced in 2016. The proposed processing route involves conventional evaporation ponds coupled with a calcium chloride crystallisation plant located at the salar. Production of up to 20ktpy of battery-quality lithium carbonate, starting as early as 2024, is currently expected to continue for 50 years.
