Report summaryThe orebody was discovered in 1976 by Granges Exploration Ltd, with development commencing in 1980 and first commercial production in June 1982. Capital cost (mine only) was C$30.3M. The mine was initially accessed by decline only. A shaft to 660m was completed in 1988 with the new crusher and hoisting facilities available for use in 1990. Since the early 1990s mining has progressively switched to long-hole open stoping from cut-and-fill. The mine closed in June 2012.
