Report summary
Tucano is an orogenic, structurally controlled deposit being exploited through conventional open-pit mining methods. The mine is situated on a 1,973 sq.km. land package within the highly promising Vila Nova Greenstone Belt of the Guyana Shield. The operation includes a 3.5 Mtpa CIL plant and has yielded over 1.5 million ounces of gold since its inception in 2005.
